When I think of South American music, I think of Leo Brouwer (Cuba), Astor Piazzolla (Argentina), Heitor Villa Lobos (Brazil) – when I think of North American music, I think of J.S. Sagreras (Mexico), Andrew York (US) and many other contemporary and modern composers that have written some of the most distinguished and game changer music. South America is very rich, musically. The rhythm, melody and even harmonies of South America have their own character.
